Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service advise that they have all the people they need to assist in the complex rescue of Pilot Whales stranded at Strahan. Volunteers who attend whale rescues must have undergone Whale Rescue Training. If you are a member of Wildcare and interested in supporting future rescue efforts, join our Whale Rescue Volunteer First Response Team and be kept informed of training opportunities. This state-wide team is active in setting up educational programs, fundraising for new equipment and ensuring we are ready to help with mass strandings when required.
