Twenty nine people today went to Mt Field today, most for the first time. They were students studying English at Tas TAFE. The weather was stunning. There was blue sky, sunshine, huge waterfalls and of course magnificent tall trees. Twenty fiveĀ  of the people had never been on a bush-walk before and many photos were taken and exclamations of “oooh” and “aaaah” were had. The Get Outside Program aims to take newly arrived people into our national parks so people can experience our nature, learn about how to take care of our parks and feel connected to them. The students learnt about taking all your rubbish out and leaving all plants, animals and rocks in the park. Thank you to Ranger Tracey Ann and the Mt Field staff for having us and our Get Outside leader Magda Ali le for taking the walk today.
