The Girls Got Outside
The Get Outside Program ran a Women’s only event last Saturday and despite the very windy weather we very much enjoyed ourselves at the lovely Chauncey Vale Reserve. To help celebrate a national day in Hindu culture, we all sang songs in different languages in the cave that gave amazing acoustics to our great voices. It was a great opportunity to share our friendship with two women recently arrived from Ethiopia – it was there first time in the Tasmanian bush and they both fell in love. The Get Outside Leaders Isabel, Sarah, Dechen and Lilly made the day go so well. The Get Outside volunteers added the local flavour – a very important mixture to the days success. I think we will make it an annual event.
