This month the Get Outside Program took 27 people to Chauncey Vale Reserve on a clear blue sky day in autumn. The walk was quite hard for some people but the views from the cave at the top and the singing were awesome. The walk ended with a meander along the dry creek-bed, listening to many birds and spotting butterflies and one sleepy wallaby. Lunch was awesome with tastes of foods from Ethiopia, China, Phillipines, Columbia and Chile. The aim of the Get Outside Program is to take people whom are new arrivals to Tasmania out for the day to explore some of Tasmania, learn about this place and make some new friends. Exercise in nature and connection to people are great ways to keep us healthy in our bodies and in our minds – so come on Get Outside!
