Black Gum Conservation Group

On Sunday 24th September, 18 volunteers from as far south as Launceston and as far north as Devonport, gathered under perfect skies for the Black Gum Conservation Group‘s first revegetation project.

In all, 660 trees were planted. 500 of these trees were generously provided by ‘Keep Tassie Wild’ (plus another 500 for our follow up tree planting day), so thanks KTW! The remaining 160 of these trees were sponsored by you! Thank you!

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, to Brendan and Sally Bond (the landholders) – and a special thanks to Sally for the incredible spread of baked goods!

Shout out to West Tamar Landcare for supplying the tools and for your generous support!

A second tree planting day is being held on October 21st from 10am – 2pm – Click here for more details and registration.

And if you’d like to sponsor a tree, you can do so at this link.
