The weeding of gorse and periwinkle has been going on for years with us gradually getting on top of these invaders. We also set up the camp for the summer Camp Ground Host program. We are limited by the capacity of the Park's boat to transport us there and of course weather. It needs self sufficient volunteers with their tents and all their food who want to stow away on one of our best offshore islands with its mix of granite, coal mining and farming history.

This event is open for Expressions of Interest only at this stage as we are awaiting confirmation that the event can continue and expect to receive this by the end of October.

Please read this Information Sheet and submit your expression of interest by completing this EOI form and submitting it to friendsoffreycinet@gmail.com by October 7th.

  • Note this is an expression of interest only. Numbers are limited and we are unsure at this stage what our numbers will be.
  • If you haven’t participated in a Friends of Freycinet working bee in the past two
years you will need to complete the selection criteria outlined in the EOI form.
  • We hope to be able to notify applicants of the outcome by 1st November.
  • We do still have to get approval to be able to hold this working bee due to COVID-19 restrictions.
