Mount Field National Park Maintenance
The Parks and Wildlife Service has had 16 bags of gravel paid for by Friends of Mt Field flown to the Tarn Shelf Track for hardening and better defining the track to reduce walkers' impacts. Volunteers from the Friends will spread the gravel.
On Saturday 16 December we will start with the bags at the southern end of Tarn Shelf (near the Rodway ski tow). We will spread as much gravel as we can on the day, and return later in summer for working bees to spread gravel from bags further north along the track.
