Data collection on smart devices
Ever wondered how to update your data collection practices in the field? Come along and hear how some Wildcare groups are using mobile phones and tablets to collect very detailed field data. The session will cover the basics of setting up field data collection, the software that is available and how to undertake analysis via Excel or creating maps in the free and Open Source mapping software QGIS.
This will be an opportunity to see if the system fits your requirements and to ask questions about both the use in the field and the more technical aspects if you are so inclined.
This project received grant funding from the Australian Government’s Communities Environment Program
