The Orange-bellied Parrot is a critically endangered bird species that migrates from mainland Australia to the wild and remote southwest Tasmania each summer.

Donations to the Wildcare Orange-bellied parrot cause supports projects and breeding-and-release programs that will enhance the survival prospects of the orange-bellied parrot as a wild species.

We currently take a $0 admin fee from donations.  We know that a $0 fee is rare and we work hard to maintain this.  If you would like to support us please know that each and every amount that you donate helps.  You can also help by joining us as a member.

Donations to Wildcare Tasmania are managed in accordance with our status as a Registered Environmental Organisation.  Grant applications are invited from Wildcare volunteer groups and organisational partners, at least twice per year to ensure that money is getting out onto the ground where needed.  Applications are assessed by the Wildcare Grants Assessment Committee; a group of highly qualified people who are passionate about Tasmania’s wild places and wildlife.  This governance process means that donors are able to claim a tax deduction for donations.
