Friends of Tamar Island Wetlands Reserve tackled a stand of firethorn (Pyracantha species) on a north facing slope on Tamar Island during the August working bee.

Before – Firethorn on the slope

We rewarded ourselves for hard work by making a start on the revegetation of the slope with native species (Blackwood, Drooping She-Oak, Prickly Box and Spiky Tree Violet).

After – piles of firethorn and the start of our revegetation planting
