WILDCARE TAS IS LOOKING FOR BOARD MEMBERS

Are you seeking a fresh leadership opportunity? Do you have the skills, experience, philosophical connection and time to commit to guiding an established not for profit charity making a genuine difference to wild Tasmanian places?

Wildcare Tasmania is a powerhouse team of volunteers, financial donors and staff supporting the care and conservation of Tasmania’s wild places. Wildcare offers some of the most genuinely wild volunteering and benefactor opportunities in Tasmania.

Wildcare is seeking expressions of interest for the Board.

People who are attracted by Wildcare’s purpose around volunteering and raising funds to support Tasmania’s wild places and who have any of the following skills are encouraged to apply:

  • Strategic partnership development
  • Growing revenue and fundraising
  • Community engagement
  • Environmental volunteer management/experience
  • Corporate governance

All positions are voluntary. Some reimbursement of expenses may be available on request.

Meeting details: The Wildcare Board holds 5 ordinary meetings per year, on a weekday. Currently, our 2022 schedule is 3 online meetings and one face to face meeting in each of Hobart and Launceston. Meetings generally take around 4 hours. Special meetings are held occasionally.

All positions will be elected by the Wildcare membership at the Wildcare Annual General Meeting on Saturday 19 March commencing at 4pm, via online conferencing. It is expected that candidates are Wildcare members and are available to attend the AGM.
