Get Filled to the Gunwales at George Town
Following the meeting there will be a tour of the Centre, which includes the full-sized, working replica of the Norfolk, the vessel that Bass and Flinders sailed from Sydney and around Tasmania in 1798, thereby proving the existence of Bass Strait. Additionally, there is a host of restored wooden boats and other maritime memorabilia. Lunch will also be provided.
For those wishing to stay longer, there will be a choice of other activities in the afternoon, including a coastal walk from George Town to Low Head, a walking tour of some of the historic buildings of George Town and a visit to the Low Head Pilot Station Maritime Museum. There are various accommodation options available for people who would like to stay for the weekend.
All Wildcare members are invited to join us. Please register on the Event Calendar by 12 March 2018.
