WILDCARE at Cradle Mtn - 20 years on. AGM and BBQ

Posted 08 Oct, 2018
In 1998, CARes- Cradle Mountain was the first WILDCARE CARes ( Community Action in Reserves) group to form within a Tasmanian National Park.  Twenty years later, the WILDCARE Cradle Mountain Volunteers branch continues the strong tradition of volunteers working in partnership with PWS Cradle Mtn-Lake St Clair. The new programme of volunteer activities, planned by Wildcare Cradle Mountain Volunteers in conjunction with PWS Cradle Mountain, will be presented at the forthcoming AGM.  Opportunities are many and varied- ranging from visitor "Meet and Greet" for the 'people' people to remote track work for the experienced bushwalker who likes to get away from it all. All interested WILDCARE members are invited to attend the AGM,  to be held at the Cradle Mountain Interpretation Centre on 13th October at 2pm. An evening barbecue will follow the meeting, along with a wombat monitoring activity. This will be a great opportunity to socialise with fellow Branch members and  PWS staff, and to meet the new PWS, North-West Volunteer Co-ordinator, Jenna Huisman. Full details are available on the WILDCARE calendar.  Limited accommodation is available but bookings are essential.
