A project to preserve the Circa 1950s public use hut located near Sir John Falls on the Gordon River has begun.
This project is a community initiative to repair and restore the hut.
The project was initiated by Wildcare Friends of the Franklin River Branch through collaboration with the Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) Heritage Section. The PWS North-West Region and the Tasmanian Mountain Huts Preservation Society are also involved as well as community donors and volunteers.
