Deal Island Art - cards, bags and aprons now in Shop

Posted 12 Jul, 2021
Fieldworks Deal Island and the Kent Group have a strong connection with artists spanning many years. We were ecstatic when Philip Wolfhagen agreed to allow us to reproduce two of his works in the form of cards. Philip, one of Australia’s leading contemporary painters, based in Tasmania spent 12 days on Deal Island back in 2002 and these very well know art works “Fieldworks” and “Archipelago” are a result of his time there. Archipelago We are very fortunate to have Di Masters as one of our merchandise committee, Di is a visual artist based in Hobart and works as a painter, printmaker and installation artist. Di and her husband David have been caretakers on both Deal and Maatsuyker. Di has designed both our Geese card and all of our Totes and Aprons. Our focus is on ensuring that our merchandise is of a high quality. Our goals are to, where possible, source our products locally and with sustainability in mind. Many thanks to our newly formed merchandise subcommittee: Di Masters, Alison Moore and Phillipa Foster for their hard work in generating this new merchandise. View these items in the Wildcare Shop. Your purchase will support the Group.
