Wildcare Friends of Narawntapu

Who we are

A partnership between Wildcare volunteer group, Sea Spurge Remote Areas Teams(SPRATS) and the Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS ) have been doing remote weed management (mainly sea spurge) for the last eight summers on the coastline between Cape Sorell and Cockle Creek. We, a different group, are  committed bushwalkers based on the North West coast who have seen a need to continue on  that good work and rid the beautiful coastline of the invasive plant sea spurge along the coastline of the Narawantapu National Park.

Where we work

On the shores of  Narawantapu National Park as designated  by PWS and the Weed management  personnel.

What we do

Under the guidance of the Weed Management person and the PWS team we will set up a weeding program  using volunteers or a regular basis, target an area and weed out the sea spurge, undertake mapping, recording relevant data, including the seas birds as we go.
