Donations to the Wildlife Rehab and Release cause support the rehabilitation and release of Tasmania’s injured and orphaned native animals by dedicated registered volunteer rehabilitators.

Wildlife rehabilitation is a specialised skill and while it can be very rewarding, it can also be time-consuming and emotionally taxing.  Carers receive training and need to be registered with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania.

Projects may include training, enclosures and support for the special volunteer wildlife rehabilitators who transition animals back to healthy lives in the wild.

Wildcare Tasmania currently takes a $0 admin fee from donations.  We know that a $0 fee is rare and we work hard to maintain this.  When interest rates are very low, maintaining a $0 fee becomes challenging and we review the situation ongoing.  If you would like to support us, please know that your donation helps.  You can also help by joining us as a member
