The Wildlife rehab and release cause supports the rehabilitation and release of Tasmania’s injured and orphaned native animals by dedicated volunteer carers.
Wildlife rehabilitation is a specialised skill and while it can be very rewarding, it can also be time-consuming and emotionally taxing. It is important that carers receive training and are registered with the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industry, Parks, Water and Environment.
Projects may include training, enclosures and support for the special volunteer wildlife rehabilitators who transition animals back to healthy lives in the wild.
Wildcare Tasmania currently takes a $0 admin fee from donations. We know that a $0 fee is rare and we work hard to maintain this. When interest rates are very low, maintaining a $0 fee becomes challenging and we review the situation ongoing. If you would like to support us, please know that your donation helps.
