Volunteer track workers on the spring program at Cradle Mountain recently experienced very wintry conditions. Some people would be happy to stay tucked up in a warm cabin on days like this but not the hardy souls from Wildcare Cradle Mountain Volunteers who spent hours out working on the Maryland and Hounslow Heath Tracks (which were more like rivers) pruning back snow laden vegetation. To think, this time last year the track workers were more concerned about sunburn and dehydration.
Plans are "in the pipeline" for Wildcare volunteering projects at Cradle Mountain National Park in the coming months. If you are interested in receiving notification about these opportunities ensure you have ticked the Wildcare Cradle Mountain Volunteers box.
