We have been invited to host a group of 20 or so UTAS students for their Orientation Day. The group will include some international students and the day is an opportunity to share the magic of the Wetlands and to put some extra hands to work!

We will meet at the Wetlands information Centre at 10 am. UTAS students will arrive between 10-10.30 am and we will work with them and available PWS staff to weed on the Island and will share lunch with the students on the Island.

You are welcome to have as much or as little engagement with the students as you wish and to attend for as long as you would like to.

You will need

  • long trousers, long sleeves, hat and closed in shoes
  • drinks (UTAS will provide lunch including for volunteers so when registering please let us know in the Notes if you would like to share the UTAS lunch)
  • we have safety gear and tools but if you would like to use your own, please do
