PCT Working Bee
As the days are cooling a little but plenty of daylight still, is generally a pleasant time to be in the bush.
We will either be working on weeding broom on the Ocean Beach Trail or battling some gorse, broom and blackberry out near the Henty River Mouth. Where we work will be dependent on weather and availability of Parks and Wildlife Staff. We will decide exactly where we will be working closer to the date and registered volunteers will be notified.
Either way we will meet at the Parks Shed in Strahan at 29 Harvey Street at 9am. From there we will travel to either the Ocean Beach Trail Carpark in our own vehicles, or to the Henty River Mouth in Parks Vehicles. We will return at around 12:30pm.
Bring a raincoat and warm clothes, as well as some sturdy shoes and long pants (very important as snakes may be about). There will be a supply of snacks and hot drinks for morning tea.
To participate in our working bees you must first be signed up as a DPIPWE/NRE volunteer, and you can do so online here.
Let me know if you can join us and if you have any questions. We hope
to see you there!
