Cradle Mountain Spring-bee Week 3
WEEk 3 is fully subscribed. Please consider Week 2.
Its time to Spring into Action at Cradle. (Rather like Backyard Blitz, but on a larger scale.)
We've found in the past that we can get an incredible number of jobs completed over 3 X5 day working bees in November prior to the busy visitor summer season so sign up and be assured a great time working in an exceptional location.
A variety of volunteering activities will be on offer each week at Cradle and nearby reserves, including track pruning, track and building maintenance and vegetation projects. Volunteers will need to be self sufficient and prepared for all kinds of weather. and a list of necessary clothing and equipment will be sent prior to the event. Basic accommodation is provided.
Number of participants is limited to 8 per week.
Week 1. 15th-19th November
Week 2 . 22nd-26th November
Week 3. 29th Nov-3rd Dec ( work crew required for Twisted Lakes track upgrade)
Volunteers with building skills or who are willing and fit trades assistants have the exciting opportunity to assist the Parks contractor with the installation of board-walk sections on theTwisted Lakes track project for which Wildcare Cradle Mountain received funding from Wildcare. Please register for week 3 and email wildcarecradle@gmail.com to let us know your interest and for further details about the project.
Anyone interested in heading to Scott Kilvert Hut to camp a few nights and carry out track work are asked to email our Secretary so that we can put together a team.
Volunteers are required to have completed DPIPWE Volunteer registration prior to participation.
