We propose to cut and paste, with glyphosate, the Boneseed plants that are established on the banks approaching Shark Point. These plants have been here for a number of years and are relatively confined to a 50m long zone.

By cutting and pasting the shrubs and then layering in a small zone, onsite to mulch, we intend to restrict the spread of this invasive weed. Advise is that this method is used in other locations around Hobart where it is difficult to remove the material, without inadvertantly spreading it further ( M. Baker, Tasmanian Herbarium).

Note: We will not be pulling out plantsso as to avoid disturbing potential aboriginal relics, and to prevent erosion.

Plan to meet on Sunday at 9am
