The FOWP have previously rerouted sections of the Thark Ridge and Devils Throne tracks and that left the need to reroute the link between the two to be done. The plan of the new route has now been approved and work can commence.
The work mostly involves cutting and trimming vegetation.
The existing linking track has some eroding sections and part is subject to vegetation that rapidly regrows over it. It also goes over a boulder field that is both unpleasant for walkers and can be dangerous.
