We will be removing the invading weeds from the Penna Beach area over several sessions. This is part of an environmental restoration effort supported by a Wildcare Gift Fund and the Sorell Council. There are stands of Fennel at both western and eastern ends of the beach and near the middle. We will try to take the removed material to one spot where the Sorell Council can collect it.

Where: We will meet at the Dog Walking Car Park in Shark Point Road

When: Sunday 25th October, 2020

Time: 9:30 am til 12 noon

What: We will be pulling and digging out Fennel and other invasive weeds from behind Penna Beach

Why:  This is our part to play in restoring the area to a healthy natural state for a healthy ecosystem.

What to wear: Long pants, long sleeves, strong footwear, gardening gloves, sun hats, sun screen, 

What to bring: Garden fork or mattock or secateurs or pruning or handsaw. A drink and snack for your self.
