Wildcare Friends of the Far South
Friends of the Far South coordinate and undertake volunteer activity at Hastings Caves, Cockle Creek and the South Coast Track areas. We undertake a range of practical works to enhance this area for visitors to the area.
Where we work
The Wildcare Friends of the Far South coordinates and undertakes volunteer activity at Hastings Caves, Cockle Creek and the South Coast Track.
What we do
- Raise awareness of and support for conservation of the South by encouraging people from all walks of life to be involved in a variety of volunteer activity – join our group to get direct information about volunteering opportunities or keep an eye on the Wildcare Calendar of Events.
- Practical on-ground projects to protect and care for the natural and cultural values of Hastings Caves, Cockle Creek and the South Coast area.
- Work cooperatively with Parks and Wildlife Service, Resource Management and Conservation, Heritage Tasmania, private landholders and other Not for Profit organisations to achieve the above.
- Raise funds through grant applications to support practical conservation volunteering in the area
