After training, our members are ready to assist with whale rescues at any time of the day. Some rescues occur in isolated locations and extend over a number of days, so members in this group should be prepared to travel to the Marrawah area, in a self sufficient manner, possibly for an extended period of time.

We formed following a Whale Rescue First Response training course held at Marrawah on 20th January 2011.

We operate in a location, Marrawah in Tasmania’s North West corner, that has seen many whale strandings as whales migrate up and down Tasmania’s west coast.

We are available to respond quickly to a request from Parks and Wildlife Service to assist with a whale rescue.
